see the Alamo

I enjoy National Parks and Monuments, but this little piece of Texas history is not something I would do again or advise others to rush out to see. Sorry… But there just isn’t much to the Alamo. Maybe the National Parks need to get a hold of it?? Across the street is a Ripley’s Believe it or Not< and a Wax Museum. Both worth checking out. Just my opinion…

You expect it to be this big historical site, but it’s right in the middle of downtown San Antonio. There’s a big sign for the Davy Crockett hotel right behind it. Tacky. But, it’s very important for TX history, so it’s worth it to go see it and take the tour. Especially the chapel where the very LAST stand was taken. Very eerie.
