It’s outdoorsy, yet bookish… what could be more perfect for me?!

I really enjoy solving puzzles and treasure hunting, plus this looks like a great activity to try. I’ll probably make my stamp and get a journal in the next couple of weeks, then I’ll see if I can find any. Wish me luck and happy hunting.
Jennifer is on her way towards making 2009 a great year!
I made my letter boxing stamp, so now all that’s left is to find a letterbox. :)
There’s not a lot of them around this area, but there is one right down the road from where I placed my first geocache. I love the idea of this, as I have always loved art and I am addicted to geocaching, and this combines the best of both worlds. :D
I just started letterboxing three weeks ago and it has been tons of fun. From the finding new locations around where I live, to sovling riddles, to making my own to stamp and finding others, this pasttime has been great.
Letterboxing seems so perfect for me. It’s a combination of so many things I love! Why am I so lame that I NEVER have gone!?
Alaythia is slowly settling in
on my page for awhile now and haven’t done anything about it. While it looks like it will be fun to try, it just isn’t feasible at this stage in my life. I’ll try to pick it up again someday when I am more likely to accomplish it.

Yes, I actually found a letterbox, while I was in Phoenix yesterday. What joy! This one was so much easier to find than the first one I looked for in Palm Canyon! I looked for a second one in Mesa, but couldn’t find it. I also managed to inspire another family to start letterboxing, since they were with me when I found this one. Finally, a little success in finding one of these.

There were 9 of us together searching for over an hour. We were supposed to take 92 strides and then find a boulder the size of a VW car. Let me tell you… there were dozens of boulders there the size of a VW car. The desert was full of VW-sized boulders. And, no, we never found the right one, or the letterbox. Very disappointing! I guess I’ll have to look for a different one, another time.
mejaka is on the preferred substitute list--for Project. Weird.
at the same time we started geocaching. I love them both for different reasons, though I think letterboxing is a bit cooler. But the buggers love geocaching.
We’ve seen some great areas, gotten some cool stamps and pictures.
