Make love in a storm

It is the biggest storm we’ve had in over two years. Or so say the experts. Winds are between 25 – 40 miles per hour, it hasn’t stopped pouring for a minute since last night. One of the big oak trees behind my house fell, taking an unsuspecting acacia tree along with it. Fortunately, they had the decency to fall away from my house and onto the opposite creek bed.

A perfect night it would be to fulfill this goal (or as close as I can get until I travel to the South with a special someone during lightning season). And yet, my prime victim candidate is out of town.

So I am sitting here instead. Alone in my bedroom. Eating a sandwich. And writing to you people.

Both my children were conceived (and born, as a matter of fact) in the midst of thunderstorms. Is it something about the electricity in the air or the sudden change in barometric pressure before or during a storm that makes me feel, well, tempestuous(read horny)?

Actually, any kind of storm will do. During a snowstorm, stretched out on the oriental in front of a roaring fire, would light my fire just fine.

Hey, winter’s coming, isn’t it? ;-)

Lawd, I just looove the weather….

I havent done this for a long while 21 months ago

I remember a night when a huge storm broke overhead, but too much bubbly and an extraordinary night meant I was completely oblivious to the weather….the next day everyone was raving about the phenomenal thunder and lightening and I had to pretend I knew what they were on about

on another occasion it was a hot night and the guy I was seeing had his window open, and the curtains blew away from the windows, just like they do in the movies as we frollicked

when I hear Moby “the sky is broken” it always reminds me of that time

Winter's a comin'! 21 months ago

Since I can’t get to the South in the summer for the best lightning storms ever, perhaps a regular old California midwinter jicker will have to do.

Hey! Get your mind out of the gutter and read more Dr. Seuss!

Thought I should clarify, 23 months ago

I meant the singular definition of cohort, not the plural.

In case you were wondering.

The biggest challenge with this 23 months ago

is finding a worthy cohort.

...a summer lightning storm in the South (U.S.). Very spectacular, very sexy, and I have always wanted to make love during a Southern lightning storm in the summer!

Anyone in the UK remember those storms that hit the south and midlands about a week ago? I can honestly say I (we!) made the most of it…
