Sewing is still weird. But Knitting is extremely easy once you get the hang of it!
I love to knit, plus, now I can make a pretty scarf for myself and dont have to pay as much as I would from one from a store~

i learned to sew when i was 10 or 11—thanks to my mother! the bummer was when everyone else was hanging out and enjoying summer, i was in sewing classes. it’s not like all my friends were doing this either, or my sister was forced into classes…it just seemed like i was the only one having to sacrifice my summer! but, i appreciate it now.
my grandma tried to teach my sister and i to crochet and knit…it didn’t take. she could make some very cool things with her needles! i could only dream of doing the same. i finally learned to knit 2 years ago-really, really fun! one of the most fun things-and dangerous-is buying yarn. so far, i’ve enjoyed knitting scarves-simple stitches with cool, unusual yarn. i don’t have a mind or attention for fancy knitting. good luck w/your goal!
at that time it was the only physically accomplishments I could see besides my grades It was cool.
Later on in years I continue to knit and sew. Things seem far more valuable when I’ve invested the time to make it myself.
And it saved me a lot of money when my daughter was little and wouldn’t wear anything but dresses. I even sold the eextras at flea markets.
At least I’ve managed the knitting part (I can sew enough to alter things and make repairs). Just finished knitting a shrug last night. It’s nice to wear something you’ve made with your own little hands.
