Volunteer at a domestic violence shelter

Just because I’m not sure that I can handle it right now. I’ve been searching Volunteer Match, and found a few positions for various hotlines: Rape Crisis Advocate, Crisis Line Worker, and Crime Victim Advocate. If I thought I wouldn’t turn into a puddle on the other end of the phone line, then I’d go for any of them right away, but I can’t guarantee it. I’m disappointed, because this is one of the first things I added to my list ~ it’s really important to me.

For now, I’m thinking about something more along the lines of Home Building/Rehabilitation or the Salvation Army.
