Taking the test TODAY!!! Went in for a job interview and they said they’d hire me if I got my SmartServe.
So I am.

How I did it: It costs $40 and takes 3 hours. The final test is SO simple...mostly it's just common sense.
It's so worth it...now I can get SUCH a better job. Drunk people tip! Sober people, well, they tip too. Just not as drunkenly.

Very frustrated…went online to be proactive and actually DO something about this goal. But, of course, the city workers are on strike so there’s no Smart Serves to be served.
They say they’ve reached a tentative agreement. The city smells like garbage, we can’t swim because the pools are closed, can’t go to the island because the ferries aren’t operating and I REALLY NEED A FUCKING SMART SERVE.
Seriously, FML.

I need another job. Tips would be totally amazing. No restaurant wants me because I’m not certified…plus I can get it online and at my current job AND it’s only $40ish so…why not.

So, when I get back home I’m really gonna need a second job to help get me out of my travel debt (so worth it). I figured that getting my smart serve would be the first step. Hopefully my sister can use some of her connections to get me in some restaurent or random gigs of some kind…

I looked into it and it will cost me about $40
I think its worth it. After I get it i’m going to apply for a second job.
