Do you want to run the BOSTON MARATHON but don’t time qualify? Don’t worry…
The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is excited to have been selected as an official charity by John Hancock Financial Services, the lead sponsor of the Boston Marathon, to receive 60 invitational marathon entries for the 112th running of the Boston Marathon, which will be held on Monday, April 21, 2008. An invitational entry allows participation in the Boston Marathon without having met the official time requirements. Each runner who receives an invitational entry will become a member of Team Eye and Ear and will be required to raise a minimum of $3,000 to support the efforts of MEEI and help fund hope for thos individuals suffering from eye, ear, nose, throat, head and neck disorders.
Qualified runners are also welcome and encouraged to join the team!!
