budget my money better

I’m going to pat myself on the back here. I had the money on hand for a small, unexpected disaster recently and it felt good to deal with it as soon as possible, versus having to save up and have it linger on the to do list.
just to keep it happening now…

So far I am writing down where every dollar goes DAILY, not only to see where my money is going, but to also make myself more aware of it so that I can see where I’m wasting my money at and how to fix it. Budgeting sucks…

i have given myself a more realistic time line now-but its hard work

I am doing better, saving for money for the real things I need. But my food budget seems to be taking over. Need to make lists and stick to a diet lol.

Okay this goal is a big one right now. I have to pay rent today and after that I am broke. So I am going to really have to pinch those pennies until I can find a job.

Okay as of Mon. I have no job.. So I need to be very wise on how I spend my money. I can’t be frivolous, I have to be careful in my spending, my only problem is I am supose to go out with my friend I haven’t seen in forever. So I will make a limit of not going over $20. It sucks, I was hoping to have a new job by now, but it seems like no one is hiring :(

So it is a good thing I have been bugetting my money better because on my car ride home this christmas my car broke down. Worst time ever for this to happen. It was $277 to get it towed and then $537 to get it fixxed. So it was a good thing I saved my extra money, but know I have to save more to get back on track.

So I have been doing very well with budgeting my money. BUT now I am going to the Keys at the end of Nov. So now I have to be more strict with my spending, so I can spend in Florida. So I am going to save ALL of my tips and try to live only off of my paycheck, which is like $60 a week. I think I can do it. Then I won’t have to worry about spending money on vacation.

So far this month I have almost saved $1000.

So I did very well this month with saving money. I had a big savings surplus, But… I had to take my car in the shop today b/c it was making horrible noises and $352 later my surplus is not looking good anymore. How come these things happen at the wrong time.. I am suppose to go home and throw my mom a 50th b-day party..which means spending more money.
