To supplement my income from my regular job, I’ve temped at several food manuafacturing plants over the last several months. These factories make imitation crabmeat, healthy cookies, cereal and granola bars, and protein supplements.
It’s interesting to learn about where all our manufactured items come from, the flow and organization of an assembly line, and about all the things that can and do go wrong. It’s also great to be able to leave work at work and not have to think about it all the time. And it usually pays better than human services/allied health work, which is pathetic but true. 5 years ago
