have a fabulous summer

Yesterday my boyfriend took me to Navy Pier to check out Cirque Shanghai. http://www.navypier.com/cirqueshanghai/index.html
It was very good….they did some things not done in Cirque du Soleil. Some pretty amazing things those performers could do. :) Afterwards we walked around the Pier enjoying the beautiful day (gorgeous breeze, no beaming sun) then headed back home for his dad’s birthday party where we enjoyed homemade Mole & Spanish rice. Mmmmmm…..

Friday
Hung out downtown with my nieces, sister and Momma. We went to Millenium Park, the girls played in the water, we marveled at the Bean, took a looooong (free) trolley ride. It was a gorgeous day to just wander around. :)

Saturday
I went to my friend Adriana’s wedding. The ceremony was beautiful, she was beautiful, the reception was fun.

Sunday
The boyfriend and I walked around downtown again, along the riverwalk and into the city, had lunch sitting outside a little bar/grill. Another beautiful day, a little warm, but still nice all in all. :)

Wednesday
My boyfriend took me for a lovely evening walk along the Chicago River. Theres a little “river walk” thats quite nice, the weather was fabulous, the view of the city spectacular.

Thursday
Went to Cirque du Soleil’s Kooza at the United Center. It was amazing…god i love the cirque! I want to see all of their shows.

Friday
Attended Gelli’s wedding…she looked beautiful.

Saturday
Venetian Night with my boyfriend and some of his family.

Yesterday was my family’s annual canoe trip. We had such a good time! After hearing of rain, it turned out to be a gorgeous day! Not one drop of rain while we were on the river. :)

I had a really nice Independence Day weekend. Hung out with family, went to a friend’s BBQ, spent the majority of the weekend with my man, had a nice leisure walk along the river in Fullersburg woods. All in all a great weekend, except for the mosquitos! They were bad!! But that won’t stop me from enjoying the summer outdoors! :)

Yesterday I throughly enjoyed myself, the day, the beautiful city, my boyfriend, EVERYTHING. We sat by the beach and discussed more and more and more things that we want to do this summer….Oooooh can’t wait!! :)
