section hike the appalachian trail

because i don’t have time to do it in one shot

At this point I’ve hiked about 400-500 miles mostly in VA, MD and PA but I’ve also done all of GA. I haven’t been hiking the AT as often although I hike about twice a month. This is going to end up taking longer than I had initially anticipated. I may end up thru-hiking this before I finish section hiking it. :-)

pretty much every month. Have done about 200-250 miles so far. I’m going to hike 100 miles at the beginning of the AT this June.

Got out again this weekend to Shenandoah and the AT and clocked another 27 miles. We had beautiful weather saw a couple of bears and got caught in a thunderstorm on top of the highest peak we climbed. So all in all it was a kick-ass weekend!

We did go hiking this weekend and it was alternately breathtaking and physically exhausting. It was a glorious weekend. The hardest 20 miles I’ve hiked yet.

I can’t wait for this weekend. I’m going to the Shenandoah National Park with a friend and we’re hoping to do 25 miles over 2 days. It should be beautiful. :)

Took a break from this to get serious about catching up on bills. I plan on getting back to it this coming weekend. :)

I haven’t been out on the trail in several weeks and I miss it. Money’s been kinda tight the last few weeks and I’m hoping to pull it together in the next few and then I’ll get back out where I belong.

Started hiking the AT about 2 months ago. I have now logged about 80 miles only 2095 to go.
