Meet Jostein gaarder

I love, love, love him! I’ve been a fan since middle school, the first time I read the Solitaire mystery.
I doubt that it will ever happen, but even if it’s not a goal-persay it’s definitely a dream.

And that was pretty awesome- got a personalized autograph on a copy of The Golden Compass…would love to eventually have a mini library of signed works by my favorite authors.

So, I signed up at Norway.org to receive their email newsletters about cultural events because I figure if Jostein Gaarder ever returns to do a book tour or lecture, it’ll have to be in there. Google search didn’t turn up any upcoming U.S. visits. I’m so sad I missed last year’s lecture. :(

Almost got to last year at NYC’s Norwegian Fest…he wrote my all-time favorite novel ‘Sophie’s World,’ and a number of other intellectual, charming and intriguing works.
