i gave someone this advice just the other day... 2 months ago

why does doing what you need to do to make yourself happy have to be selfish? you dont have to feel guilty or say your sorry for trying to be happy…so whatever it is…go for it =)

and i have no doubt that she can do anything she puts her mind to….but when i think about applying this advice in my life i just see(make up?)all the reasons it wont work for me…=(

My friends always know that they can come to me for advice. I’m always there to listen and help. I’m kind of the psychologist and the comforter. It’s…tiring. BUT when it comes to me i don’t have the same patience. I can tell you great things you need to know, but i don’t know how to take my own advice.

1. i want to sleep in the same place every night
2. i want to prepare my own meals, stop eating this crap that is going to be the death of me
3. i want to ride my bike everywhere i go,year round
4. i want to go to the gym every day and workout like i used to(i used to feel great most of the time)
5. stop trying to please everyone else first

edit:and the only way to make these things happen is to quit my job as an otr driver…there is the rub

I’m tired of missing a good opportunity just because someone said it wasn’t a good idea.

OH, and the one Buz likes to throw in my face a lot:

“Fake confidence will get you everywhere.”

Lately, I’ve been one to help others out…more than usual, at least. It’s a great feeling to know that you are capable of reaching out to others, yet it is terribly unsatisfying when your advice doesn’t pull through in the end. When it comes to expressing emotions, I give others advice that sounds logical and confident. But, if someone gave me that advice, would I take it? Honestly, I have a hard time telling people how I feel (well, when it comes to this one issue in particular).

It’s someone’s turn to give me advice.
