Dizziwish is not an artist, but has created a masterpiece.
I discovered yesterday that i am covered fro up to $80 000 by my super annuation fund, thats enough to cover all my debts and leave my son/family with something. Thats cool, once i own more, like a house on the land and that has a mortgage then i’ll look into this more!!! cos surely by then i’ll be earning more too?!

Dizziwish is not an artist, but has created a masterpiece.
I bought my 1st piece of real estate not too long ago, a 1.3 acre block of land, as expected it has a mortgage on it. Now i own somthing more important than my car and cd collection i finally have somthing to pass on to my (soon to be born) son BUT i would hate him to be stuck with the mortgage so as soon as i can i will take out life insurance to ensure it would b paid off in the event of my death.

halfway there
My husband and I used Accuquote which turned out to be a fairly simple process. My policy came in the mail today. Just need my husband’s policy to be approved and I’ll be able to check this goal as done!

I’m sure my check stub will confirm that this kicked in.
Done!

I’m just going to wait to see the paycheck deduction to make sure everything went through, and then I’ll check this off the list.

I have enough through my parents to cover a funeral, but not really enough to float my husband should something happen (he is self employed so would not receive any sort of sick or vacation pay while dealing with the details).
I got a letter in the mail from my job, where I can get term coverage through the same company where I receive disability coverage which is automatically taken out of my paycheck, making it very convenient (Good thing I actually opened this envelope).
My husband already has me taken care of should something happen to him, so I think I should return the favor.

Started paying for it a year ago and as a single dad of a 7 year old boy, this is probably the best purchase that I make mentally every month!
