How to take pilates
How I did it: My gym offers Pilates classes once or twicce a week, but I was always too scared to go and embarrass myself in front of other people. Finally, I just decided to go ahead and try it anyway. It's so relaxing and it feels great! You really get a nice work out without heavy weights or hurting yourself. Definitely go to a class though, because I wouldn't be doing a lot of the moves right if I hadn't had someone telling me how to correct myself. Now I look forward to going every week!
Lessons & tips: Don't be afraid to do someting because you think people will judge you. Everyone starts somewhere!

I got into a morning pilates class two days a week. Mondays and Wednesdays, I drag myself out of bed a whole two hours before work says I need to and drive down to the pilates studio in the shopping center. There, I take an hour long mixed class with a friend of mine (and a few others - there are usually between 2-8 other people present, plus the trainer). Reformer, trap, ball, mat, bands - everything pilates!
I’ve taken three sessions and already I feel fantastic. I am keeping off the weight I lost thanks to my unfortunately physical job (now gone), and I am starting to gain lean muscle. I absolutely love this class, and I am so glad that I joined it!
