I feel like a slob. My hair is so flat and has no shape it is frustrating me.
I need a good trim to tidy it up and I am thinking maybe some highlights in a funky colour. I have not coloured my hair in probably 7 years (except for temporary dye) so it is very healthy but also boring and I’m excited to try something new. 2 weeks ago

How I did it: I don't like getting my hair cut by other people, but I wanted a change from the usual haircut I give myself. Since I usually have bad experiences from the hair salons I choose myself, I asked one of my friends where she cuts her hair and went to her hair stylist instead. The haircut is great and the stylist was amazing... I think the lesson is that peer referrals are the way to go. Read how I did it… 4 weeks ago

I had the day off yesterday so I called a place I’d been recommended to. I hated to be a bother and ask for an appointment for that day, but they had one available so I printed off my pictures and went with my Dorian Gray friend to kill some time at the mall before my appointment.
I showed the stylist the pictures and she was like, “But you have such beautiful long hair! I don’t want to do this!” I’ve been talking about cutting all my hair off for months and every reaction was the exact same. “Don’t do it, you’ll cry!!” and “I regret ever cutting my hair!” but I was starting to HATE having long hair. It’s no longer me, and it’s annoying at work when it constantly falls out of hairnets. But now I hardly have enough hair to even put up in a ponytail so I am SO happy!
So, my hair went from being to just above my waist, to basically exactly like this:
And I LOVE it!!
It’s a huge difference but I love it, and so far the response has been an overwhelming positive, so this was COMPLETELY worth it!! :) 1 month ago

How I did it: I went to an old hair shop I used to go. They did an ok job but I'm not extremely pleased with it. I had him put layers across the face & now its 20 differnt lenghts....sigh... atleast it feels a little lighter... I Read how I did it… 2 months ago
