this weekend i took a little trip to visit my bro. the getawayfromitall occurred on the long drive there and back. (six solid hours of me time each way!) and i had fun. i would really like to go solo camping sometime … maybe 2 or three days alone somewhere, just to spend time making peace wiht myself. 5 years ago

I have a thing for cozy B&B’s. What I really want to do is spend two nights (or one if I can’t afford two) in a B&B downtown. I want to take my scrapbook stuff and work uninterrupted and w/o guilt. I want to be able relax in a tub with a book. I want to take walks around the city and visit the art museum and coffee shops. I want to have time to myself, just to relax and reflect. I want to stay in town so I am close to my family in case there is an emergency and to save on gas. I have toyed with the idea of meeting my husband or daughter for lunch, but maybe I just need some alone time.
I am daydreaming about taking this mini-break in the fall or winter. I have a thing for fireplaces, so my room will have to have one of those! I may even splurge and get an in-room massage! 5 years ago
