... for the year.
They are just beautiful. I managed to pick 2 bunches this morning and the scent is amazing…!
How I did it: I researched the flower choices to find those that would attract
hummingbirds and butterflies. I also wanted flowers that were colorful
and made great photos. Over the years, I grew several plants from seed
and purchased a few already rooted. The best, though, is that I have
assembled plants that are supposedly resistant to deer!
Lessons & tips: I have more
detailed information about the deer resistant plants at www.associatedcontent.com/wilkerson

Pyxidragon is gainfully employed again
Despite Mother Nature’s best efforts, my flower garden has the lovely orange flowers from last year, blue gentians and a hundred other buds that haven’t given up their secrets yet. YAY!

in the flower garden department. While I have my seeds and tools ready, the rain and snow have rather delayed my ability to plant anything. On the other hand, some of what I planted last year were apparently perennials as they’re already starting to sprout from the earth…along with blackberry vines.
I’ll have to get out there if it dries out sometime soon and dig the weeds and vines out.

Now that we’ve lost most of our snow (YAY!), I went and put four bags of used coffee grounds onto the flower garden. As I’ve already been composting onto that particular piece of land I should have a lively and healthy flower garden in 2009.
The landlord never fixed the faucet connected to the backyard hose and our gardens went to hell. At least he decided not to evict us, because it was against his better interests. What a nice guy.
a huge windowsill in the kitchen.Once I finish decoratig the inside of my new villa,I’m going to decorate the back with a reasonably sized patio set and some very large flower/pots urns that I want. They’ll be clay and have tese really cool Mexican/Mayan designs…I’ll be starting my rose bush in the largest one.Right now I’m trying to get a full, lush lawn in the back..which isproving to be a little frustrating. It started out just dirt and weeds..so it’s made some progress in the last month. Once I get that mastured I’ll start working on the pots and decor.I’ll also get a windchime,I LOVE being outside ,soit won’t belongforany of this.
well, i dont know about a garden, but im growing three sunflowers right now and theyre doing really well! :D
I enjoyed growing an herb garden last year, it’s frustrating having to wait, because I realize now I just want a garden that is visually impressive and appealing. One of the only reasons I want to keep the house me and my roommates are living in is because I want my garden.
This has been a dream of mine for 10 years now. I’ve already started saving to buy the things I will need.
