Andy is tired.
It would nice to experience a place that is so drastically different from England. Although the only options appear to be censored government tours.
I visited North Korea in the 3rd week of July. It was the 2nd communist state that I visited that month. There are three ways to get into North Korea. The easiest is the Panmunjom which is a tour of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). It was very interesting and very limiting at the same time. Another option is to enter North Korea from South Korea via the mountain tour. The 3rd and most difficult option is to go to the capital of North Korea (Pyongyang). The only way into Pyongyang is through Beijing via airplane. The time to process a travel visa is anywhere from 2 months and up. In Pyongyang they do not stamp your Visa. You are given a separate sheet of paper that they collect upon entry (No souvenir). From what I understand pictures cannot be taken either. If you head to Pyongyang it could be interesting but there will never be any proof that you ever went.

It is hard to describe the feelings of being in North Korea,
I guess it is perhaps something you have to experience for yourself with your own interpretations and perceptions,
Often when people write things from their own perceptions and they are read by others, the reader uses their own perception to analyse what was written, thus the true intention of the writer is lost, so perhaps with a place like North Korea, where so many people have their own ideas about it and there is so much controversy concerning the country
I shall say simply that it is a beautiful country with beautiful kind people and I would travel there again,
