This is so much harder than I anticipated.... 20 months ago

of course that could be because I keep buying more. I promised myself that I wouldn’t buy any more yarn until I used up most of what I already have. Well, then two babies are arriving in April and a bit further into the year and I want to make them afghans. That leads to a trip to the store, and MORE YARN! :) I love the yarn and use a lot of it, but some is lost in the bottom of my yarn bins and isn’t getting much love. Perhaps I need to do a scrappy project to use as much of it up as I can.

I’m currently working on crocheted sheep….they’re turning out exceptionally cute!

I can barely crochet at all right now... 2 years ago

Because of carpal tunnel syndrome so I’m going to give up on this for now. I’m sure I’ll get back to it eventually…

I am finding all sorts of ways to work on this now... 2 years ago

I’m really on a roll…I’ve made scarves for gifts, baby blankets, baby hats for my son…and so on. I love it when I get a burst of inspiration!

I am using a number of skeins for baby blankets for Project Linus. Since I am making a variety of sizes, I figured I might as well use some of the left-over skeins from previous projects.

Well this was actually going to be a goal to meet before I bought any new yarn, however with all the baby’s in the family…I’ve had to go and buy..MORE YARN! I’m helping with a prayer shawl ministry through my mother in law’s church. They’re making shawls for people going through traumatic things, cancer treatments, loss of family members, abuse, that sort of thing. So I’ve been trying to use the yarn I didn’t need for baby blankets for that. So that’s using up a bit. I’ve also started making little stuffed animals out of the yarn. Amigurumi ( the Japanese term for crocheted creatures) and knitted square animals. So that’s helping. I have yet to see my basket of yarn decrease though….sigh… it’ll happen some day. :)
