i love him. i want to read more.
How I did it: It simply took a visit to the library. My math class is so so boring, so I read snippets of The Old Man and the Sea when the teacher wasn't looking.
I finished it today. I'm not sure what to think of it yet. I wasn't expecting it to be so simplistic - there are probably deep meanings I haven't thought about yet.
Overall I really liked it, and I'm going to find The Sun Also Rises and try it again. =)

I love Hemingway, he’s my favorite writer (or one of the, I guess). I read The old man and the sea, Fiesta and The snows of Kilimanjaro. I should read the rest, as soon as I finish my ‘to read’ list. I recommend The old man and the Sea to anyone who would like to start on this goal.
meijse is in the new year
I have started The Sun Also Rises! It’s good so far.
i have read a few Hemingways and have enjoyed all of them. I am looking forward to reading the rest of his library of novels in the next few years. So far I have read
- The Snow of Kilimanjaro
- The Sun Also Rises
- For Whom the Bell Tolls
- Farwell to Arms
I hope to find The Old Man and The Sea at a second hand book store some day soon.
Mother Brando is Enjoying this Phase.
read them all and i can truthfully say that they did nothing for me at all. old man of the sea is probably the only one if i had to pick
I’ve read a few of the classics and enjoyed them all! Great American writer!
