How I did it: Bought a car through BMWs European Delivery Program. Picked it up in Munich and spent the next three weeks touring Germany, Italy, Switzerland and France. Best vacation of my life.
Lessons & tips: Most European car manufacturers offer European delivery programs and it actually saves quite a bit of money. If you're looking to purchase a new car from a European manufacturer ask about this program.

what car..thats the big question..Oh,Oh or what motorbike,I have already hit 145 on a bike,mph not kph,would love to do that on a derestricted section of the autobahn in something like the alfa 8C

We had a client in the office today who recently got to go 145 in his Mercedes on the autobahn. I’m glad someone is able to do this! :)

They are just like any highway, except that sometimes you can go as fast as you want. I find it a little scary sometimes, they are very aggressive drivers here…

I lived in Germany for 3 years, however my crappy British Nissan Micra didn’t go very fast. But I still drove it on the autobahn…in the left lane!
