Get a Beta

Getting a beta is worth it for awhile but they do get alittle boring after a while since they are all by themselves. But its fun for a year or two. I’ve had about 7 and I’ve moved up to larger animals. Its a good first pet.

I guess of natural causes. He wasn’t doing very good, just laying either on the bottom of the vase or laying on the roots of the peace lilly. He quit eating but just before he died he started eating again and he got a little more active, not much though. He started losing some of his beautiful blue color too.

He had a water burial. :o(

My son Jeff said he will get me another. :o)

My first beta lived for what seemed like forever. 7 years I think, then one day it was just dead. I don’t know their lifespan, but they make a wonderful 1st pet. It’s so beautiful and easy to care for! I can’t wait to get another!

We have fish sat a couple times for friends of ours and I was always so sad to give the little guy back, beautiful beta that he is. I really like having pets around and we’re not allowed to have cats/dogs in the apartment.

So, for my birthday, my wife got me a Beta and I really adore him. I love how interested they are in stuff going on outside their bowls. I love how beautiful they are. I love that when they’re happy, they blow bubble nests.

Isn’t he pretty? ( that’s not really him in the photo, but close). His name is Ringo and the reason that’s his name is that there was a Beattle’s song playing at the pet shop when I bought him. Ringo seems to be the best name out of the Fab Four. My son Jeff went with me cause he is an expert on Beta’s. I can’t wait to place him in his home (certain procedures first). He is blue with some red. I hope that he will live a long and happy fish life.

If I can’t swim at least I could get a fish that can.
