learn ballroom dance

I started learning ballroom about a year and a half ago with my University’s (I’m a graduate student) ballroom dance club. I really enjoyed it.

I have a great guy now who was willing to sign up for dance lessons at Fred Astaire with me, and now I’m getting in a lot more practice!

I would love to get to the point where I could try competing somewhere…but that’s a long long way off :)

I want to dance all the different kinds of ballroom dance there is with a great guy dance partner. I think it will be a great way to exercise and have fun.

i’m excited next semester i am taking ballroom dance so soon i will be working on this goal :D

A friend of mine who is semi-pro is starting this up. it’ll be $10 per person for an hour-long session. i think it starts at 8:30 on wed. feb. 28. more details to come…. HOORAY!

There are no classes where I live

I took some beginners classes and hope to continue soon…

I’ve always wanted to do this since as long as I can remember. I’ve always done dance but ballroom is so graceful and romantic. One of my favourite movies is Strictly Ballroom; I can so see myself in Fran! I will continue to look for lessons in my local area; obviously I haven’t been successful yet.
