Why are we Christians if not to share our faith with anyone and everyone who will listen. Now don’t get me wrong. I don’t think it is very effective, nor do I go up to complete or semi-strangers and just start telling them about Jesus. However, if someone asks me why I think a certain way or don’t do certain things, that is my opportunity to be a witness. When I was younger I did not care ONE BIT about what someone thought, how they were raised, what they believed, I just felt I have to tell them about what I believe. That was so immature. But now I know that sharing my faith with others is an earned privilege.

I want to be able to do this instinctively. I believe sharing your faith should be more about telling of how your faith has affected you and not trying to get someone to “convert”. I believe that is what Jesus told us to do. The Holy Spirit will draw and convert.

sharing christs love is my sole ambition…..

co-worker 20 months ago

I shared the movie Facing the Giants with a co-worker and he came back and said it was the most powerful movie he has ever seen and that it is going to change his life. He said he has many questions. We had lunch together today and I was able to share my faith and encourage him. It was nervewracking yet rewarding as well. His questions will help me grow.

Sharing the message of Jesus Christ 22 months ago

I want to share my faith in Jesus Christ without hesitation or reservation. I don’t want to worry about what people think or fear being rejected. Sharing my faith with someone might very well be the exact thing that person needs at that exact time in order to accept Christ as their Savior and change their life in an amazing and radical way. I want my Chistian faith to show in my life even without me opening my mouth as well.

Interesting thing faith is... 3 years ago

Everyone has their beliefs and thoughts on what is out there. I believe in Christianity and God but how often does God come up in a conversation. How often does one pray with people that you don’t know? I will share my veiws on so many things but I am always hesitent to share my faith….

Branching out... 3 years ago

I’m not one for proselytizing, but I want to share what truth I have seen with people who are being misled. Right now my goal is to talk about who Jesus is to lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgendered people. Jesus lived for everyone, and if you think you’re in a different boat because you’re straight, then you’re way too proud. We’re all sinners, but God’s standard is the only thing that can point that out to us. So those of us in the church, who have read God’s standard in the Bible know it, but how can we judge someone who doesnt know it? “What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside.” If God will judge all of us, then we’re all screwed, if we’re outside of the church. That is, if we’re living outside of what Jesus did. Jesus lived to meet the standard for us, and died to pay the price for us missing the standard. He’s for all of us, whether we’re looking for Him or not, and that is what I intend to share with people.

2 friends are coming with me to church tomorrow… i guess you could call that branching out a little. i have never invited anyone before, so it’s a pretty big step for me…

I've done some of that 3 years ago

It taught me a lot about people’s fears and passions. Their hard questions also helped me to understand my religion better, because, after all, I had to come up with good answers. One of the important things I’ve learned in the process is to respect the line between explaining my beliefs and trying to convert others or make them agree with me.

If you’re Christian or Catholic there’s no reason to share your faith. Everyone knows you’re here. Shutting up about it would be a REALLY good start.

I've made a Daily Bible Study Group 4 years ago

It’s amazing. The closeness I have felt and what I have learned. I am going to keep doing it. If you are interested:
