get a second job

Decided it would be best to wait until after the holidays are over to start the nitty-gritty of the job hunt. I’m going out of town for a while for xmas, and don’t want to miss interview opportunities, etc.

Today I made a big long list of local establishments I could at the very least stomach working for. Then I prioritized them in order of where I think I would be happiest, and reorganized the list so I have a definitive game plan of where to apply and in what order. I have trouble with motivation to “get myself out there”, so hopefully this will shave off some of the anxiety I normally feel with this sort of thing.

Put an application into Target (finally) saying that I would be able to work weekends (as a pharmacy technician). I don’t think I’ll be able to commit to more than that with my current schedule. Should I be looking for non-pharmacy technician jobs at this point? I guess it doesn’t matter what I’m doing as long as the people are cool and I’m making more than $8 an hour. I see a lot of expensive things in my future that I am absolutely willing to sacrifice some time and mental health for… see my profile for some examples. c :

this is mostly going to be on weekends, and holidays. i’ll get time and a half for holidays, i believe.

This year I’ve decided not to go to school since I don’t know what to study. I am focused on and want to earn a whole lot of money so a second job would be a very good thing. Since it is difficult to fit another job into the hours I work on the job I already have I am thinking; maybe I should just quit my current and just one fulltime job?

I need to get a temporary(unless I love it)job. I want to save for several things I currently want and start a good savings nest egg as well. I will put out resumes next week and maintain this job until march when I will re evaluate if it is still needed. :) I hope by march I will be so happy with the results that I will WANT to stay! :)

i got a call from world market today, but it’s looking like i won’t be able to take on a second job right now because i don’t have regular hours where i work. i was hoping to work during the day at the restaurant and do something else low-key at night for a couple of hours. i can’t leave until we’ve finished, and sometimes that’s not until after 9 pm.

i’m going to give up on this for now. if i can pay my bills on what i’m making it’ll do until after the holidays. (after the holidays, i’ll reevaluate my job and see if i should be working somewhere else. i need to be saving/earning extra money to get ready for my move, and if i’m not…well, there’s no point).

i got a rejection postcard from barnes and noble. LAME.
