unite the world by making this team

Downtown on a gloomy day,my husband took this one

This is not personal to me and I will need more room soon!

I was invited and have had it on my list for a long time. Just not sure how to use this as a vehicle to unite the world…though it’s nice knowing there are others that would like to see our world united. Best of luck to all of you sticking with it.

Sending pics of our surroundings is a good idea. So I will do that as soon as I clean up my surroundings. We had very nice snow today too, so I can take a pic of that…

I thought that I would do something similar with a more specific theme…another 43 Thinger and I suggest “Unite the world through sharing poetry”...if anyone wants to join, please do!

It’s been a while since I last posted for this goal, and so I thought of sharing one of my favourite Pablo Neruda poems.

When I returned from so many journeys,
I stayed suspended and green
between sun and geography -
I saw how wings worked,
how perfumes are transmitted
by feathery telegraph,
and from above I saw the path,
the springs and the roof tiles,
the fishermen at their trades,
the trousers of the foam;
I saw it all from my green sky.
I had no more alphabet

Desiderata

I have a proposition for everyone on 43 Things…just for today, make a connection with a stranger, be it someone in the line-up at the grocery store, or someone at the bus stop…smile and talk about the weather, the flowers, or compliment him/her in some way…a little gesture goes such a long way.
