I’ve just got my results + certificates back for my grade 7 piano! I passed with 116 (which is better than grade 6 – 101) So now my new certificate is on the mantle piece, seven down, one to go!!

Long way to go. I don’t even practise regularly at the moment… Really want to take lessons but it’s impossible until I get a job.
Becca Ashworth is thinking about her future.
While doing my UCAS applying for Youth work, i changed my mind and decided to do Music instead…only i need to take a grade, and i have to pass grade 8. I can play well enough, i just can’t read music and do theory very well. But ive always loved music so I’m gonna go for it, and it means I’ll have to wait another year to go Uni, but i think it’ll be worth it!

So I’ve been waiting till the new pieces are published which they have been (http://abrsm.org/resources/pianoG80608.pdf) but can’t decide whether just to buy the book or have a look at the other pieces. Does anyone know of any good sites where I might be able to take a cheeky look at the pieces before committing to them.
Oh how long are people usually spending on preparing for the exam?!?
gabier_39 is finally about to go to Europe !!!! 17 days!!!
i just got my marks back i can officially teach now. i passed with first class honors on my coresponding theory and i passed with only honors on my practical but still. i’m glad it’s over. that was my last exam ever!!! now i’m taking my grade 9 and 10 for fun and i will hopefully finish them before i graduate highschool! how exciting is that. anyone else happy for me :) cause i am!! thats alot of stress gone! but unfortunatly i have decided against majoring in it in university:( i would have to move too far away from my small town:(
If possible.. I would love to get more than a pass or merit..
I know this would be hard but I must try my best or else I would regret.. as this could be my last grade..
anyone around here considering taking diploma for piano?
I passed my grade 7 last July and got a merit despite taking over a year to prepare for it.
But now I’m at uni I have had to stop playing, hoping to pick it up again when I have finished…but 2 years seems so far away! I might have forgotten a lot by then.
Well I’m on grade 7 at the moment, but now I’m just doing for fun rather than grades.
