Will we install it over the holidays? Good question!

Started with the Master, then the others looked shabby and remodeled them over the next year. Had to pretty much gut the master bath—but it was well worth it!
that going to France in the spring will contribute more to my moral fiber and general happiness than replacing the shower door. The bathroom fund is being re-earmarked.
Yes! We have wanted another electrical outlet on my side of the big double sink since we moved in. When we blew a fuse big-time we decided to make the electrician call a two-fer.
He added the plug and did all the rest for a very reasonable price. We are willing to do plumbing and certain electrical work, but not this stuff.
No more tangle of blow dryer cords around our ankles!
The old ones were fiberglass. It took us all day to do these, and we had to go back to town for more supplies three times, but we have bright shiney new sinks.
Now the trick will be to refrain from obsessively wiping the water spots off of them at all hours of the day and night.
(Edit: have not been able to stop ourselves from wiping down the sinks. They may have actually changed our basic personality structures in some strange, possibly postive way.)
A friend asked us what fun thing we are doing for Labor Day Weekend, and we looked at each other and shrugged, and decided to replace the sinks. We have to go back to get the faucets that fit and some adapters.
We’ve already bought new vinyl tile, but the shower stall door needs replacing and that’ll come first. In probably several months.
We do the whole rennovations thing in fits and starts.
I suppose because no one but us usually sees it anyway.
In the 5+ years we’ve been in this house, we’ve done a lot. Major yard work, including planting trees, shrubs and ground cover on a 15×80’ steep slope and elsewhere in the yard, putting in a flagstone patio ourselves, putting in a wal and a rock garden, adding trellises and growing star jasmine on them.
We’ve repainted most of the rooms, put tile in the kitchen and front bathroom, replaced the front and back doors (adding storm doors), added window treatments, and bought new living room furniture.
So the public rooms are being handled and fine tuned. Now it’s time to make our bathroom a nicer place to be in the morning. I painted it a happy peach…last year or the year before. But it needs:
new shower door
two new sinks/faucets
new floor covering
window treatmentsWe found the sinks and faucets we want when we replaced the guest bathroom sink this weekend. We also bought new floor covering. This is how we’re using some of our tax return!
