That’s what I’m reading now, and it’s lovely.

What more could you want? I’ve read quite a bit of Lawrence; I wrote my very first term paper ever, back in H.S. based on several of his novels. I might re-read at least Lady and Sons and Lovers again. It’s always interesting to read things as an adult, through more experienced eyes.
Well I finished it in a car ride. It was odd because he was trying to tell two different stories, one on the affair the other about the social problems.
But the end was less then i was hoping. I was hoping for a jerry springer ending with clifford throughing all her prossession out of the mansion and her running to the keeper. But whatever, I’m glad i read it.
my classes are way too, i guess time consuming. So i’m going to hold on to it and then read it during the summer.
My sister gave me “Lady Chatterly’s Lover” for christmas. I’m am definately dropping the two books I’m inbetween/currently reading, and getting this bad boy read before spring semester.
OH yeah giggity giggity.
Back in 1969 there were still memories of this being censored literature. My mother saw it and yanked it away from me and told me it was “smut”. A week later she happily returned it to me after reading it. My mother went on to instruct me to share any future literary gems with her that I came across. We went on to read a number of true historical romances after that. It is a fond memory of a bonding moment with my mother. Thanks for bringing up this goal.
I’ve read like 50 pages of Lady Chatterley’s Lover…i seemed to like it, and it been on my mind for awhile. the concept of a womens husband who is disabled telling her that she should have an affair.
I just can’t afford the time right now to read is with other classes and work. And i’m hoping someone will buy it for me for christmas so i won’t worry about keeping it out from a library for 6 months.
I’m just not going to have time to finish a novel – I’m taking it back to the library.
Sigh. The kids won’t be this little for much longer.
I bought myself a book of short stories – best of 2004. So at least I have some fiction I can read in one sitting, if I ever get to sit and read.
The actual reading of the story was not fun; because the words did not describe the image of the people. I was uninterested. Not a great goal.
