I must say this is a tough book. At nearly 600 pages, and written in Ellison’s style, it’s not going to be easy. I’m only on page 200.

and it is really good. I like books that can be read in a day or three, rather than epics which take a month. 5 years ago

This book is one many of the top 100 lists that I am workig on. I looked for awhile in used books stores but never had any luck. I accidently bought HG Wells The Invisible Man, mistaking it for Invisible Man. I actually enjyed the HG Wells book. The Ellison book however is spectacular. This is a fast moving book. With a great story and theme. Reads very well along with Native Son. 6 years ago
