I bought my first bike last April 1st. My friend had to put his dog down that day due to cancer. I took off work and we just went looking at bikes to take his mind off the loss of his buddy. I wound up buying a V-Star 1300. Nice bike but really didn’t fit me well and hurt my back after riding only 30-45 minutes. Traded up a few months later to a Yamaha Venture. It was nice, too. But I always wondered what was with the Harley “mystique”. I wound up buying a recently retired Police Electra Glide in July. Awesome! It was amazing the difference…not only the physical feel of riding the Harley over the Yamaha, but how my whole outlook on life changed for the better. I took a 1700 mile road trip with a buddy on the Yamaha and the day after we got back I traded the Yamaha for an 08 Ultra Classic Electra Glide. Fantastic! I can’t begin to describe to you what a great change it will be if you decide to do it. I would encourage anyone considering this goal, if you have the means to make it happen, do it. It’s a goal worth pursuing to be sure.

Just bought a 2008 883c Sportster custom. 8 miles on it, so I get to break it in proper. Can’t wait to pick it up from the dealership in the next few days.
07 HD Sportster 1200cc Roadster!! Pacific Blue Pearl. I love my bike! This purchase was the best one I ever made. I rode it home from the dealership and I was in love. If you are thinking about doing it…do it. But check around with different dealers, they are not all the same. I wish I had bought from a different dealer, I would have gotten a better price and dealt with someone who gave a rat’s ass about getting me on the best bike for my needs.

Actually, I’m on my second Harley. I had a 1994 Sportster 1200 which I recently sold. I now have a 2006 VROD and it’s an awesome ride.
