The most recent little dispute I mediated, I was just about to donate blood. I was in the chair with antiseptic on my arm and everything. All the nurse had to do was stab me. It was kind of chilly in the building, so a curtain had been opened by my chair to let some sunlight in. Trouble was, the glare from the sun interfered with said nurse stabbing me correctly, so she went to shut the curtain.
Suddenly, someone else was all; “Hey, I just opened that curtain to let some warmth in!” ..and a kind of polite war broke out.
I quickly butted in with something to the effect of; “I can see the merits of both sides of the argument, but I’d really like it if most of the blood I have to part with today actually ended up inside those little bags.”
