take a surfing lesson

It’s my birthday on the 8th January and my husband has agreed to buy me a surfing lesson. I’m going to wait though to April as i don’t think the North Antrim Coast would be too nice in January. I can’t wait!

I live so close to the beach, I don’t know why I haven’t done this before. This summer isn’t looking too good though, since I recently had surgery. This goal might have to be put on hold for a little while.

I just booked a surf lesson D:

I’m gonna be honest with you guys, and by “you guys” I mean myself. I didn’t take the surf lesson. My exams are over, and I’ve got a job and I didn’t take. And I started thinking ‘God, I was just being silly, I should forget about the whole thing’. And I probably would have, only I told someone about my idea, and before she left she said “I really hope you go ahead with that, and everything works out for you, and you do everything you always wanted to do”. Now, here’s the thing, I’m not gonna see her again for a long time, but I am gonna see her again. And I can’t bear telling her I bailed. So I am gonna do it. So long as I can afford it. I asked for a quote but I never got one. I guess I can save up, or borrow the money if I’m stuck. I just need to take one. That could lead me anywhere.

Which is to take a surfing lesson as soon as I possibly can. It’s not actually that soon, as I have exams to do, but, UNLESS SOME ABSOLUTE EMERGENCY HAPPENS, I will take that surfing lesson the first Saturday I have off after my exams.

Sent an email to a surf club in my favourite part of the country, and got a reply with an phone number to get a quote. This goal is price-dependent. Now must get organised, pick ACTUAL TIME FOR SURF LESSON and make that call.
