drink better wines

It’s a new group on Meetup.com. I hope to make the next meeting this Wednesday. I’ll let y’all know how it goes.

Every Wednesday at Sassafras they have half-price bottles of wine. This way, I can explore new labels and still have half a bottle to take home. Yay!

I can’t buy wine, So my ex-bf brought me a bottle of El Bastardo (I would make a comment on the irony, but hey, he brought me wine!). It went lovely with needlepoint and sci-fi on tape.

This was amazing with penne al vodka. I even saved the label to start a wine journal. I highly suggest it!

Pretty good! But also a little weird.

I’m going to stop buying wine because of the label. That really, really doesn’t work.

Bought also because of the label. Meh.

I bought it mostly because it has a cool label, but it does not suck.

When I open a bottle of wine at home, I generally don’t drink more than a glass ot two. More often than not, over half a bottle of wine goes bad before I can drink it. Therefor, I am going to start buying splits of higher-end wines. It’s better to put the money in a smaller quantity of a better wine than in cheap wine I won’t even finish.

I was so focused on champagne, I couldn’t see the bigger picture. But now I do.
