stop spending so much money

yeah i have been looking at my ‘spending reports’...
and damn..

this girl has been spending tooo much money on shit! literally shit!
in one month.. over 300$ in clothes, over 200$ going out to eat.. and about $103 on average for gas.
thats just to basics!
there all kinds of other little things to!

and as of now i am only making about 200$ a month..

ugh come on girl.

I’m in debt for the first time in a long time. I’m starting a new, full-time job so eventually I will have money – but also gym fees, rent payments and lotsa gas money (long commute). June is going to be rough until I get paid, and I dunno when that will be.

Plan – fill up my tank on Sunday for the week (I hope).
Take out $20 for the week.
Put the debit card in the lock box.
Keep the credit card in my glove box in case of emergencies.
Pay down my credit card bill ($130 this month, but ever increasing) by $50.00.
Pack my lunch for the next 2 weeks with the groceries I have (only by milk, bread, bananas and maybe a veggie until June 13th).

Well, it’s been a week since I’ve gotten paid. And I haven’t spent money on anything but bills (yay), gas, and…that’s it! I’m still broke, but atleast I’m broke because I waited until this paycheck to pay all my bills and not from spending money on Burger King or CDs.

There were days when I had to rush to work and didn’t have time to make my lunch, but I just forced myself to start making more time for that.

Regardless of our economical state, I still find ways to spend money on things I don’t need. I’m supposed to be saving to move in November, but…it’s just so easy to spoil myself.

Most of my money goes to CDs, Movies, and books. And fast food. I get paid tomorrow and I will start my new goal! Paying bills, and getting gas, and that’s it! One step at a time I suppose.

i will only have about 1200 dollars to live off of for the next three months. thats including gas, food, traveling, partying, shopping, buying things needed for the house..

what did i put myself into.

but really. it is ok for me to not work my summer after senior year right? or am i just being a dumb adolscent.. (one that cant even spell)..

its ok if it comes to like a guest right?
ha. but i am really starting to get in the habit, like money isnt everything.

money doesnt make me happy anymore.

yea its nice to have. and its necessary.
but its not life. it just makes it easier.

so i am just trying to live life right now and enjoy

I signed a lease yesterday for an apartment (in the same general area, so I’m not giving up any quality of life) that is literally $500 cheaper per month then where I am now…
I had to pony up some extra cash to do it, since I’m in the middle of the month, but, in the long run, it’s definitely worth it. I can put that money I’m saving towards money I owe to my parents and my student loans. Yay!

i am going to stop being so materialistic.

ok so i was actually looking at my bank account summary, like everything i spend money on and what not, and like i spend just as much as i make… thats insane!!!!!

and i think i know why i do this…
because i know the money is available, cause i hardly put money in my savings…

so i am going to start putting like over half of my money in savings so i cant spend it.

and just for the record… i spend 74.90 on some damn informercial.
i am pissed. and stupid.
i am not even 18 yet, they should have let me buy those stupid bra straps things… ugh.

i am sooo upset with myself and my habits.

Bought some magic painting books for my grandtwins
Some coloured hair bands for my neice
A mug with sheep on for me
a Stig mug for my son
Some gentle soap for the expected baby
And a cardigan for me
