No More Jobs
I recently started my own home based handmade jewelry business and when the job that I currently have is over in about a year I would like for the jewelry business to be successful enough to support myself so that I am not forced to get another job.

I predict big things for the Christmas & New Year season.
Perhaps I should start by predicting big things for today & believing in abundance!

Confidence & passion & persistance. Learning some business skills. This field is my life’s work. Right now I have one client. I will be holding weekend workshops in Toronto in a few months, and petitioning schools to hire me on a contract basis to deliver workshops to young people. Between now and my next entry, I will be drafting a letter and beginning to craft some lesson plans that I will send to schools this spring, as well as a list of schools I would potentially like to work with.

Own Business

I want a business where my earnings are not based on how many hours I work. I want passive income.

This is my first entry, so please go easy on me…
I know success can be measured in many ways, but for me it’s fairly simple. I just want to have a business that pays me enough to pay all of my bills and still leave enough to have some fun with. It must be something that not only consistently brings in a minimum income that will allow me to do this, but have the potential to grow. For me right now, at least $2,000 USD a month would allow me to accomplish this goal. The catch to this is that I would need to be able to bring in at least this much income every single month, regardless of whether or not I work each day. So I guess what I’m really aiming for is residual income.
Sure there are plenty of people with regular jobs that earn this much and even more, but what happens to their earnings if for some reason they are unable to work for a few days, weeks, or even months? I don’t want my ability to work for an hourly wage or even a salary to affect the amount of money I can make or when I can make it.
I am taking steps towards this goal right now, but as with everything worth doing, it will take much work and effort on my part. I have gotten over the issue of my pride getting in the way of asking for help, so that should help me reach my goal much faster. If you feel you can help or know someone that may be able to, please feel free to share that info with me. Thanks.

I think I’ll only truly be happy with work when I’m doing my own thing.
