Seems like I finally got rid of this barrier. Fear is such a useless emotion and it wasn’t easy dealing with it. The right attitude caused by continuous self-talk that defeats my fear did the job for me so far. I think its like a flew that pops up once in a while.
How to be unafraid of failure
How I did it: There are only experiences, experiences you are successful at and those where you are not as successful. Turn those into succeses by looking at them and learning from them.

in a dead end job. I don’t why I started here to begin with. My experience and schooling is in the IT field and I took a telecommuncations job. I’ve been here @ EMSI ordering Medical Records for Attorney’s & Insurance Co.’s for 8 month. It’s so tideous and monotonous. I’m looking for a job I enjoy, but I’m scared to make the jump…I need my guranteed paycheck. So I guess I’ll just keep looking until I find another job that sparks my interest…
If you paint in your mind a picture of bright and happy expectations, you put yourself into a condition conducive to your goal. —Norman Vincent Peale
a lot of my life I have been young and naive and have not done things because I was afraid of failure. I think I’ve grown up enought to know that if I don’t try then of course I’ll fail and if I do try and fail, well at least I’ll know and have taken a risk. So well see how well this plays out in the future!
Fear is definately my worst enemy. Fear keeps you a failure. Overcoming fear means accepting failing but not being a failure.
It’s just gone, No more ‘What if this happens?’ or questioning whether what I do will be up to mark. If others think that what I do isn’t up to their standard then I am sure they can demonstrate their own abilities if they know best. It’s strange, I am beginning to embrace failure, it’s helping me grow and become more responsible and strong enough to combat all life’s woes and troubles. It’s just gone naturally, maybe it’s because I am stopping second guessing myself constantly. Failure can be a great motivator on the path to success.
Failure is short term goals not being met, long term anything is possible. Fine I fail this test, I will try harder next term. Usually it’s the kick in the teeth which makes me strive to achieve all I want to get done. It makes you realise that the solution you used to answer the problem is not working and a change is needed. Failing doesn’t mean your personally a failure, it’s just that in the hear and now your not achieving all you possibly can. Unless you really are trying of course. There is always room for improvement.
I have a fear of failure, maybe it is because I put pressure on myself and then do fear failing. At the moment I fear failing exams, I am trying to rationalise my fear of failure.
Although I know that failing is a means to success and that failure should be embraced and accepted to build a strong foundation. Now it’s just really accepting this that’s the challenge.
