....but since I’m not moving now, the point is moot. Still, it’s something I can file away in my brain until I need it next.

This morning I booked FlatRate movers to handle my move on the 28th. I wanted to book All Star but after trying to contact them three times, leaving messages and receiving no response, I had no choice but to go with another company. FlatRate gave me a quote of 695. I can afford that, but it’s still a little on the high side. I can reduce the cost by having the movers transport less stuff, so I think I may try to recruit my brother or a friend to haul some boxes up to the apartment in their cars this weekend.

Okay, the affordable part is actually proving easier to come by than I anticipated. But, as I continue to get feedback on which companies are reputable and which aren’t it seems as though EVERY single one of them is a fraud. This one overcharges, that one holds your furniture hostage until you pay an extra 1K. It’s ridiculous. I know I’m only moving ten minutes away, but I’m afraid if I pick the wrong company I’ll load all my furniture into the truck and never see it again.
