6 Little Weeks Left... 3 years ago

Yippee, I am only 6 weeks from being done with school…forever (unless I choose to go at it again one day). So in the spirit of new beginnings, here goes my list for the past week.

    1. Finished Summer 1 (a.k.a. the summer session created by the devil in which i lived in the flames of hell for 5 weeks)!!!!
    2. Woke up this morning, realized I did not have to be at school at 8 a.m., or study, and felt like dancing on the ceiling. Unfortunately Lionel spent the night out last night so I was unable to join him in a session of ‘80s ceiling dancing. But I did smile my way through breakfast.
    3. Bought a cute new outfit yesterday that I wore to work today.
    4. Talked to someone at the Kimbell that I had met with in January. There is an opening coming up that she wants me to interview for. Exciting.
    5. Allergies are better today.
    6. Have fun plans for tonight to celebrate my weekend of freedom from school.
    7. Plans with family for tomorrow and the 4th which actually sound like fun.
    8. I don’t have to study!!

    Itchy itchy 3 years ago

I spent the day outside yesterday (moving my sister and covering an outside event at night) and my allergies have taken a beating for it. I’m all itchy and sneezy. But besides this here are my 3 things for today.

    1. Got paid.
    2. Had meals that were good for me.
    3. Got delerious on Benadryl and made myself laugh for over an hour.

It really is the little things…

Thursday and Friday 3 years ago

Been a little blah the past couple of days (burnout, maybe?) but here it goes…

    1. I had a relaxing late night after two not so relaxing late nights.
    2. I met someone who called me “bitches”, which I always say. Cracked me up.
    3. My 4th article was published this week. Wrote #5 last night. Getting plenty of clips!

Well, it started out good. 3 years ago

    1. I’m continuing my trend of working out 4+ hours a week with (or sometimes witout) my friend Sara. Did cardio for 45 today and doing cardio/weights tomorrow. I fell off for 2-3 weeks with maymester and being sick but I’m back on!

    2. The Mavs lost by 3 points to end the series. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I feel a tear. Damn that Wade.

Wednesday, June 21st??? 3 years ago

    1. Got out of my first class early which allowed for a bit of down time between classes.
    2. Looking forward to afternoon session.
    3. Only 6 days left of summer session 1!!! Whoo hoo!!!!

Slacker - kind of. 3 years ago

Well, it’s official, I am a big ol’ slacker on this goal. But I’m picking it back up again. These are not for today but the best things that have happened over the past couple of weeks.

    1. I had my first 3 articles published.
    2. I am progressing on my career decisions and getting some input.
    3. I met a new friend which is always fun.
    4. I reignited my love for basketball with the Finals.
    5. I found a new way to work on my goals and am excited!
    6. Did better on my last 2 exams for Summer I.
    7. Only 2 weeks left of the insane Summer I session – this means only 8 weeks until graduation!!!!!!!!
    8. Pulled out an old dress, tried it on, and looked fabulous.
    9. It rained today for the first time in weeks.
10.I started diligently working out again after the maymester hiatus and being sick.

Maybe premature but... 3 years ago

    1. Two finals down.
    2. Made an A on the first, therefore an A in the class.
    3. Coming up with backup plan in case my financial plans fall through. Will not be near as much fun as plan A but I might be able to make things work. This is an improvement from the normal fear and anxiety of plans going haywire. Learning not be so frightful of uncontrolled change.

Side note: It’s hotter than Brokeback Mountain outside today.

New beginning for new beginnings 3 years ago

    Saturday:
    1. Started new job. Love the atmosphere and it’s nice to be around people I know and like. Plus, I am even closer to home.
    2. I don’t work 12-13 hour days anymore!
    3. Dance, dance dance!
