Was a little hard to control at first (turning) but got used to it. I didn’t enjoy all the fumes, especially since I was at the back but it was still really fun. I managed to get up to 51km/hr without getting too scared. My brother managed 65km/hr. Really really fun, would love to do this again. We drove out to see the northern lights in Lapland. A wonderful excursion and I totally recommend it.
How to drive a snowmobile
How I did it: Whilst living in Nunavut, I spent a day 'out on the land' hunting with local Inuit. When I had to go to the bathroom, and being that there are no bathrooms on Baffin Bay, I was told to drive the skidoo in any direction for 5 minutes and pee in the snow. Fair enough. Off I went and after a few bunny hops I was flying along and it was lots of fun and a lot easier than I initially thought.
Lessons & tips: its very easy, no gears.
Resources: A skidoo and a willing person to lend it to you
