Get a new lawyer

I can’t believe it, she is handling things like you would imagine an attorney is SUPPOSED TO. I don’t know why I had to go through two crap lawyers to get to her..but oh well!
I get to move this over to the right side. Hearing date still scheduled for next week but it may (now) get changed.

She did call back and after listening to my story went to bat for me over the phone with ex’s attorney. She is like an angel from heaven! She understood everything immediately and started helping me immediately! AT LAST!
I don’t want to get too excited…but what a relief! She is sending me something in the mail but I will wait until I get it before moving this over to the completed column.

no dice on moving the hearing.

You know what I am going to do?? If I don’t get a new lawyer in time I am going to represent myself! seriously! I bet I could tell my story to the judge about what happened with 2nd attorney and how I wasn’t able to get a new one and how THEY wouldn’t grant me additional time. I could take my chances doing that. I also certainly know my case very well. To represent yourself is to be pro se

I also spoke with an attorney who sounded very good. I might hear back from her today and if not she said I should call her on Monday.

The hearing is scheduled for less than 1 1/2 weeks from now.

I KNOW I am responsible for every action and circumstance in my life—but I did have a passing thought today that went along the lines of WHY does EX have such a GOOD lawyer while I got TWO CRAP ONES??!! WHY?? Because HE has all the great business contacts while I am left out in hinterland knowing nobody..so once again HE comes out on top!! This is ALLLLLL VICTIM-thinking and I know it! I just had to report it. In addition I did call a place today. I am very confused about whether I should call ex’s attorney and see if I can reschedule the hearing or what. I am currently not represented. I have another number to call tomorrow.

got some new names and some new ideas. Will work on it again tomorrow!

The lawyer’s recommended lawyer can’t do it (or won’t). kind of back to square one.
I have to take a day off of this. I will call her back on Monday.

...she is referring me to someone else. But she really had a good grasp of the situation and that is sayng a lot
