Learn to speak Spanish

Spanish. How I love and hate thee! Right now I’m in around my 6th year and I’m still not fluent. I can’t speak it work pennies. BUT, for the most part I can understand and read it. And that’s a good start. Yeah, there’s a lot of stuff I still don’t know, but that’s only natural since I don’t live around a lot of native/fluent speakers. One day, I’ll speak it like a pro though!

And that is about as good as it gets. I love this language!!! It sounds so nice to listen to. And it would really help when we travel.

I’m half mexican so I should know spanish. Would like to be able to talk with my nana and other relatives. Plus I would be able to understand what people at work are talking about :) It’s just so hard to retain the information for me. Does anybody have any ideas on the best way to learn and hold onto this language?

I love to meet people and communicate – and Spanish will let me do that better when I travel. I do speak 3 languages already, but Spanish is the next big one. The English (I am) take it for granted that the whole world should learn English, which is insular and small minded.

Apparently the most commonly spoken language after english. i love learning different languages – and i think this may be the most useful.

I found a great book to pick up spanish words. 500 word to grow on. Its in the kids section with pictures for every word. I figured, this is how I learned english. :) I have a learners tape and berlitz book also. I have learned… Un poco solamente.(only a little)... baby steps.

What’s a good DVD curriculum?

I can understand the language somewhat and know a few words. I plan on taking lessons sometime next year.
