that the goal of becoming a great cook was to general. So what I want to do is learn to cook ten important dishes every great cook should know.

Delicious meals that I can prepare for me, my friends, and later, for my family :)

Of course I’m not gonna stop here, but 10 is the practical number I need to start doing something about this.

I made lentil soup last weekend. It was really good! I used my slow cooker. I am starting to love my slow cooker.

I made a lamb stew last night. Very tasty, and pretty easy, I used my new slow cooker. Just cut everything up, put it in, turned it on, and waited!

I made a cabbage and noodles dish this weekend. I looked at a recipe, and then made a lot of changes, including using whole wheat noodles. It was very yummy! I will definately make this again.

New plan – I am going to cook supper every Friday night. I am going to cook the same thing every week – chicken scampi. Inspired by The Olive Gardens Chicken Scampi. Grilled chicken, alfredo sauce, noodles of choice (I can change things up a bit here from week to week to keep things exciting) and some or all of the following green onion, purple onion, green pepper, mushrooms and tomatoes. If I can get this down pat then I will make Sunday Greek night, and I will use up the leftover veggies and grilled chicken, add feta cheese, and have greek salad or greek wraps. But first we have to get chicken scampi Fridays under control.
