Buy Easter Eggs BEFORE Easter Sunday

Yes, it’s definately that time of year again. I went to the confectionery warehouse last night and battled the crowds for a basket full of brightly wrapped chocolate eggs.

I almost wish I had my camera on hand to capture the delighted faces of children running down the aisles their eyes drifting from one colourful package to the other. Their small hands tugged at their father’s shirt drawing attention to another brightly-packaged cavity-creator.

Within half an hour, I came out with all of my Easter shopping over and done with plenty of time to spare before Easter Sunday. A new precedent has been set!

Easter time has crept up so silently and stealthily that I’ve had hardly enough time or thought to give to it. Now, the supermarket is a constant reminder of the holiday period as Easter Eggs and Hot Cross Buns stock the shelves and large cadbury banners hang over the aisleways.

And… I still have not bought a single easter egg!

Tomorrow’s my last day at work so I need to get my easter shopping finished before the night’s out.
