ok, i stoped and saw it on the way to the big green gathering in summerset this summer (2007) and i was rather unimpresed, purely because of how established it has become, its all fenced off, there are pigs and japaniesh tourists everwere, everyone is taking pictures, you can touch the rocks and its all become about the money!
How to visit Stone Henge
How I did it: My brother had just done an Euro trip and me, my mum n dad all went to the UK and met him there he had been to Stonehenge so we went, It was alot smaller than I expected , I was a little dissapointed, but worth going to see

I’d actually like to visit CarHenge, too. A lot less mysterious, but I anticipate some ample enjoyment while I save for England.
i so wanna go there on the soltice and trip out with my friend once hes got his VW microbus and just eat BBQ and listen to sitar music!!
(bloody 80’s pigs!)
This was a dream of mine through high school.
i went when i was 20, with a boyfriend, the one i still miss every day and wish i had married…\
we were on a small road trip just prior to my leaving England, it was very romantic and very sad at the same time.
the saddest thing about the visit was that the photos never came out. there were lots of tourists which spoiled the atmosphere a bit and the chains around the stones were ugly. But the memory is good.
For a more awesome and beautiful stone circle experience rather visit Avebury Stone Circle. No chains. you can touch the stones. and a great vegetarian restaurant in the village!
