pose as a life model

i think being able to do this would mean truly having at last accepted myself as I am – it would be a very life affirming experience

My girlfriend has been a life model for a few years now and I’m interested in doing it too…

I’m a little nervous about how the first time will go, but I’ve contacted a local college art department and am waiting to hear back from them..

I’m excited!

That’s right, I’m doing it. Scratch it off the list.
For those of you who either a) don’t know or b) don’t understand what a life model is/does let me explain.
Life models pose for artists (painters, sculptors, etc.). Naked.
It is not slutty. It is not pornography. It is ART.
I am honestly tired of getting looks and the obvious follow-up question when friends ask about my new job. Raised eyebrow…”You mean naked?”
But despite the lesser minded individuals unable to understand the fact that without life models, many of the great works of art we know and admire would not exists. And I am truly excited to become an inspirational part of the creative process of an artist.

When I can do this, i’ll know im totaly comfortable with who I am, how I look and happy to be captured on canvas, even if its for a few months.
