How I did it: i have been insecure about my artistic abilities for as long as i can remember but since i made that goal i've truly accepted that art is subjective and i'm told by a good number of people that they think i'm great. every day i draw or paint is more practice, and since i've been doing quite a bit of artwork over the past year, i've gotten quite a bit more intuitive and inventive in the things i do.
Lessons & tips: art classes help in forcing you to draw things you don't necessarily
want to! looking at other people's artwork for inspiration - all types
of artwork is good, even things you don't really do a lot of. i find a
lot of inspiration from pop art and cartoonists, even though that's not
really what i do.

I had a dream for a cute, nomadic “store” of sorts that would include a carpet and a shopping cart. So here is what I could sell:
-Homemade crayons in cool shapes
-Bead and hemp jewelry (I feel like that is kind of a given)
-Knit scarves (and hats and mittens and socks when I get those down)
-Wooden picture frames and framed mirrors decorated with seashells
-Plants and herbs in painted clay pots
-Collages

I’m feeling a lack of art in my life. It’s similar to being really thirsty or craving tons of fruit. Perhaps a collage is in order. At any rate my room needs to be redecorated… that should satisfy at least part of this feeling.

If I am surrounded by creativity, does that make me more creative? If we breathe creativity constantly can we embody it more fully and unconsciously?

I feel that I am at a crossroads with my modeling. My work right now has been almost entirely what the photographer wants to do but I am beginning to think of my own projects. It would be cool to work with other models on something that I have created, maybe a storyboard-type thing or maybe capturing a specific “something” in different people.
I used to be good at whatever I tried to do, but now I’m just okay. Not great. Not terrible. I’d like to get better if I can. I’m into anything, from kawaii faces to elaborate, detailed drawings.
The image attached is kind of where I’m at. I’m a very scribbly kind of artist.
I’m such a jack of all trades when it comes to art. I’m okay at most things, but I’m not good at anything. I finally found a medium that I absolutely adore (screen printing), but i can’t find a focus for it. Sometimes I want to do really graphic stuff, sometimes subtle nature stuff, sometimes a ton of color, sometimes no color. I’m inspired by everything from Japanese pop art to Victorian woodcuts to impressionism. I can’t seem to settle on one thing and now I have to for my class and I don’t like any of my ideas. Help me find a focus!
