increase my vocabulary and use it

ok so i am increasing my lexicon, increasing my comprehension but i still talk plain old every day words and when i want to conjure up a more appropriate word, i cant find one.

definition: a skilled story teller. I wish i was a raconteur.

i like to read alot and find it very useful to keep the dictionary by my side. i can look up the words and try to put them to use in everyday life later that day (ideally).
