i will do it when i will settle down somewhere, not like now, when i’m constantly traveling..
How to redecorate my home
How I did it: From top to bottom, the process took FOREVER. It started with exaustively searching paints and furniture. Many times I'd get sidetracked by little items because they were easier and less expensive to deal with. There are still little things that I want to change, but the entire house is for the most part done. And I can't be happier that I did literally every last thing from choices to painting to assembling of furniture on my own.

I finally finished a desk in my “den” (otherwise known as the “spare room” with a cherry stain, and then put a pine stain on two pieces of unfinished furniture, one in living room, one in bedroom. Just the tops of those – want to paint the rest white. Only my den has dark furniture, the rest of my home, I am going for white and pine. It was fun to accomplish this. The pine stain isn’t coming up dark enough so I will probably do a second coat (then some kind of glossy laquer over that.)
Mind you, the house has a painty smell but it isn’t raining yet so I have windows open. Ideally one would have a backyard to do this in, but I don’t so making do.
Yeah!!

My plumber just fitted the pipes so that I can lay down the new lounge floor. Thank God!
It’s good to know I can go ahead this next phase. :-)

Definitely worth doing. I really like my room now, it’s just so me. I didn’t have much of a budget and it’s a pretty small room, but I love it now.
Its walls are yellow and green and the ceiling is orange (it sounds horrific but it isn’t ;). I have my stacks of books, CDs, DVDs, records, magazines, organized just the way I like ‘em… my computer, a TV (which I haven’t plugged in yet, but give it some time…), my stereo and my record player.
Lots of posters and pictures: mainly the Beatles, and also Trainspotting and Charlie Chaplin. There’s lots of other stuff…
and off course, the wall me and my friends write stuff on sometimes, last time was on my 17th birthday. :)
